This bill
includes ongoing General Fund appropriations of $1,600,000 per year beginning
in fiscal year 2020-21 to the General Purpose Aid for Local Schools program
within the Department of Education for the cost associated with establishing
a 15% cap on career and technical education centers and career and technical
education regions whose sum of the components in Title 20-A, §15688-A are
more than 15% greater than the most recent inflation-adjusted expenditure
data. |

This provision is
included in Part C-10 of LR 3206, the Governor's Supplemental budget for
fiscal years ending June 30, 2020 and June 30, 2021 and the initiative
funding this provision is included in Part A.
If this provision and the associated funding are enacted in the
supplemental budget, this bill and fiscal note will need to be amended. |
