The estimated
annual cost to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for a
one-time increase to certain rates in MaineCare, Section 65, by 20% and to
contract with a third party to conduct a rate study of those rates would be
$472,317. As this section of policy is above the Upper Payment Limit and not
eligible for federal match, all of the cost would be in General Fund dollars.
This bill provides no new funding. The impact of these new unfunded costs on
other programs in the DHHS cannot be determined at this time. |
