This bill
includes a General Fund appropriation of $200,000 in fiscal year 2020-21 to
the Administration - Economic and Community Development program within the
Department of Economic and Community Development to fund the first year of a
2-year pilot project to conduct outreach to encourage active duty military
members who are transitioning to civilian life to relocate to the state and
to provide personalized and proactive support for those military members and
their families. It is the intent of
this legislation that an additional General Fund appropriation of $200,000 be
provided in fiscal year 2021-22 for the second year of the pilot project. |
|
Additional costs
to the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management associated
with the establishment of a pilot project can be absorbed within existing
budgeted resources. |
