The Waste Motor
Oil Disposal Site Remediation Program within the Finance Authority of Maine
(FAME) will require Other Special Revenue Funds deallocations of $4,925,000
in fiscal year 2019-20 and $5,000,000 in fiscal year 2020-21 due to the
repeal of the program and the premium on motor vehicle oil sold or
distributed in the State. This bill requires FAME to transfer the balance
remaining in the Waste Motor Oil Revenue Fund to the Uncontrolled Sites Fund
within the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) by June 30, 2020,
except that FAME shall reserve $65,000 for payment due in 2020 under the
motor vehicle oil premium reimbursement program and $10,000 for the cost of
administering the fund in 2020. The amount available to transfer is estimated
to be $3,466,094. |
