This bill includes
ongoing General Fund appropriations totaling $400,000 per year beginning in
fiscal year 2022-23 to the Employment Services Activity program within the
Department of Labor to support apprenticeship programs. Of that amount, $200,000 is provided to
increase support for apprenticeship training reimbursement for registered
apprenticeships with the Maine Apprenticeship Program and $200,000 is
provided for educational programs that include both industry-based and
job-related classroom instruction designed to prepare individuals to succeed
in a registered apprenticeship program. |
