|
This amendment
eliminates all General Fund appropriations, Highway Fund allocations and
Federal Expenditures Fund allocations in the bill and requires the provisions
of the bill be done within existing budgeted resources. The ability of the
Department of Labor to conduct investigations into potential violations of
the construction safety training requirements for craft workers without
impacting existing programs and services cannot be determined at this time.
The Department of Transportation has indicated that the cost of increased
training requirements on contractors could lead to higher construction bids
leading to higher construction costs to the State. The impact on other
Department of Administrative and Financial Services programs and activities as
a result of absorbing certain costs cannot be determined at this time. |
