This bill includes
ongoing General Fund appropriations of $9,000,000 per year beginning in
fiscal year 2021-22 to a newly created Maine Rental Assistance and Guarantee
Program Fund within the Maine State Housing Authority (MSHA) to both assist
qualified tenants with the cost of rent and to encourage landlords to work
with rental assistance programs in the State. Up to 10% of the funds may be
used by MSHA to administer the program. |
