This bill
includes one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocations totaling $220,143
in fiscal year 2021-22 to the Department of Professional and Financial
Regulation to conduct the required evaluation on barriers to obtaining
insulin and whether existing programs adequately address the needs of
individuals with diabetes in the State . |

Of this amount, a
one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $217,669 is provided to
the Licensing and Enforcement program in fiscal year 2021-22 to contract with
2 consultants experienced in healthcare data research and analysis to manage
the study and facilitate the collection and evaluation of data and
preparation of the written report. In
addition, a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $2,474 is
provided in fiscal year 2021-22 to the Administrative Services Division for
technology-related costs. The Office
of Professional and Occupational Licensing will transfer funds from its
Licensing and Enforcement program (which includes funds for the Maine Board
of Pharmacy) to the Administrative Services Division to fund the allocations. |
