Fiscal Detail and Notes
This amendment removes the extension of benefits from the Pine Tree Development Zone program and restores General Fund and Local Government Fund revenue in fiscal years 2021-22 and 2022-23. It also removes the General Fund appropriation to the Department of Administrative and Financial Services of $70,903 in fiscal year 2021-22 and $93,655 in fiscal year 2022-23 from the bill.
This amendment transfers responsibility for the Citizen Trade Policy Commission from the Legislature to the Maine International Trade Center within the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) beginning in fiscal year 2022-23. The amendment includes ongoing General Fund appropriations of $27,620 per year beginning in fiscal year 2022-23 to the International Commerce program within DECD and corresponding General Fund deappropriations to the Citizen Trade Policy Commission within the Legislature to transfer the funding from the Legislature to DECD.
