Eliminating Maine
Clean Election Act funding for gubernatorial candidates will reduce
anticipated spending by $1,584,575 in fiscal year 2021-22 and by $1,530,000
in fiscal year 2022-23 from eliminating distributions to gubernatorial
candidates. Allocations to the Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election
Practices are reduced accordingly. The loss of qualifying contributions from
gubernatorial candidates will reduce revenue to the Maine Clean Election Fund
by $40,000 in fiscal year 2021-22 and $36,000 in fiscal year 2022-23. |
