	Any impact from adopting the Interstate Counseling Compact is contingent on 10 states enacting it into law. According to information provided by the Board of Counseling Professionals Licensure within the Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation, Department of Professional and Financial Regulation, there are 2 states that have enacted the counseling compact and 5 states currently have legislation pending.
	The board will incur costs to join and participate in the Interstate Counseling Compact.  The amount cannot be estimated at this time and will depend on fees and other requirements established by the counseling compact commission through rulemaking after the compact takes effect on the date that the 10th state enacts it into law.
	This legislation may also increase dedicated revenue to the board from fees charged to licensed professional counselors to practice under the compact.  The amount of revenue received will depend on the fees established by the board and the number of counselors who apply and are approved to practice under the compact.
