This bill
includes ongoing Other Special Revenue Funds allocations totaling $64,081 in fiscal year 2024-25 to the
Department of Professional and Financial Regulation to support the additional
costs to the Board of Examiners in Physical Therapy associated with joining
the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact effective January 1, 2026. Of that amount, ongoing Other Special
Revenue Funds allocations of $61,836 are to the Office of Professional and
Occupational Regulation within the department for one Comprehensive Health
Planner II position and related All Other costs to support the anticipated
increase in workload associated with joining the compact. This assumes the position will begin on
January 1, 2025. Additionally, ongoing
Other Special Revenue Funds allocations of $2,245 in fiscal year 2024-25 are
provided to the Administrative Services - Professional and Financial
Regulation program for the technology and other administrative costs
associated with adding the position. |

The department
has indicated that the revenue generated from current licensing and other
fees will not be sufficient to support the additional costs associated with
this bill and licensing fees will need to be increased. The amount and timing of any fee increase
cannot be determined at this time. |
