The bill includes
a one-time General Fund appropriation to the Department of Health and Human
Services of $4,000,000 in fiscal year 2026-27 to provide support for
federally qualified health centers to provide access to affordably priced
prescription drugs.
A more current estimate suggests the Department will also require annual
General Fund appropriations of $241,660 beginning in fiscal year 2026-27 to
establish two limited-period positions within the Maine Center for Disease
Control and Prevention for the administration and distribution of grants for
the pharmacy services support program. |
