Representative Arthur L. Bell
Rep. Bell

  Representing - Yarmouth
District #103

Rep. Art Bell is serving his second term in the Maine House of Representatives, where he sits on the Environment and Natural Resources Committee. He believes we must balance the issues of a changing climate, affordable housing, economic development and an aging population. Prior to serving in the Legislature, he worked for 30 years in corporate finance.

At the local level, Rep. Rep. Bell has also served on the Yarmouth History Society Board and the Bike and Pedestrian Committee. He is a founding member of the Royal River Alliance, working to restore the Royal River watershed. Rep. Bell was also previously elected to two, three-year terms on the school board, six years on the Yarmouth Senior Housing Board and was the longtime treasurer of Yarmouth Cares About Neighbors (YCAN).

Rep. Bell has lived on Cousins Island for the past 26 years. He is a graduate of Colby College and earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Robin Hodgskin, raised three kids who proudly graduated from Yarmouth High School.
