Representative Lori Gramlich
  Representing: Old Orchard Beach
District #13

Rep. Lori Gramlich is serving her second term in the Maine House of Representatives.

A Maine resident for more than 35 years, Gramlich lives in Old Orchard Beach, where she and her husband are small business owners.

Gramlich earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of New England and has more than 30 years of experience in non-profit prevention-based social work, advocacy and social justice initiatives. She has worked at the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and served as communications director for Maine Senate President Beverly Daggett. She served on the Portland School Committee from 2005 to 2008, where she served as chair of Legislative Affairs and Policy Committees and served on the Finance Committee.

Gramlich is field coordinator and adjunct faculty member at the University of Southern Maine School of Social Work. She previously served as executive director of the National Association of Social Workers, Maine Chapter.

Rep. Gramlich is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Taxation.

Brief description of the subject matter handled by the committee: Bureau of Revenue Services and State Board of Property Tax Review; state and local taxes; tax exemptions and credits; tax expenditure review; taxpayer relief programs; property valuation and assessment; tax increment financing; municipal revenue sharing; taxation of unorganized territories; and tree growth and other current use tax issues.
