PUBLIC HEARING:  Tuesday March 20 through Thursday, March 22, 2012

The Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs and the identified policy committees of the Legislature will be holding public hearings in Room 228 of the State House on the Governor’s supplemental budget bill for the 2012-2013 biennium LR 2847 "An Act To Make Supplemental Appropriations and Allocations for the Expenditures of State Government and To Change Certain Provisions of the Law Necessary to the Proper Operations of State Government for the Fiscal Years Ending June 30, 2012 and June 30, 2013”.  The proposed budget initiatives may be viewed at: http://www.maine.gov/budget/budgetinfo/2012-13SecondSupplemental.htm

The committee invites testimony on Part A General Fund or Fund for a Healthy Maine initiatives and Language Parts C through KKK of legislative request.

 

You may sign up in State House room 228 (The AFA Committee Room) starting at 12 noon on the day of the hearing.

 

Please sign up to testify on the sheet corresponding to the related Committee of Jurisdiction.  The attached detailed hearing schedule shows which Part A programs and Language Parts correspond to which sign- up sheet.  It also shows the document page number in which the General Fund initiative(s) may be found.

 

Due to the very tight timetable, oral testimony will be limited to three minutes (written testimony may be of any length).

 

Persons with special needs who wish to attend a Legislative hearing and require accommodations should notify the Legislative Information Office as soon as possible.  ASL interpreters will be available until 4:00 pm on Wednesday March 21st and Thursday March 22nd.
