Room 228 State House
The Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and
Financial Affairs and the policy committees of the Legislature will be holding
public hearings in Room 228 of the State House on LR 2067: "An Act Making
Unified Appropriations and Allocations for the Expenditures of State
Government, General Fund and Other Funds, and Changing Certain Provisions of
the Law Necessary to the Proper Operations of State Government for the Fiscal
Years Ending June 30, 2012 and June 30, 2013”.
The proposed budget initiatives may be viewed on the Bureau of the
Budget’s website: http://www.maine.gov/budget/budgetinfo/2012biennial.htm
The committees will be using a comprehensive
document which includes baseline history; baseline justifications; initiatives
and initiative justifications; and the fiscal impact of the language portions
of the bill. There will be a separate
document for each policy committee. Prior
to the associated public hearing each policy committee document will be posted

The committee, in conjunction with the associated
