§11002. Board of Higher Education - Article II
1.
Creation.
The New England Board of Higher Education, established by Title 5, section 12004‑K, subsection 2, and referred to as the "board," shall be an agency of each state party to the compact.

2.
Powers.
The board shall be a body corporate and politic, having the powers, duties and jurisdiction enumerated and such other and additional powers as shall be conferred upon it by the concurrent act or acts of the compacting states.

3.
Composition.
The board shall consist of 8 resident members from each compacting state, at least 2 of whom shall be members of the Legislature, chosen in the manner and for the terms provided by law of the several states parties to this compact.
