§1678. Liability for incorrect or inaccurate information in filed record

Incorrect or inaccurate information.
If a record delivered to the office of the Secretary of State for filing under this chapter and filed by the Secretary of State contains incorrect or inaccurate information, a person that suffers a loss by reasonable reliance on the information may recover damages for the loss from a person that signed the record, or caused another to sign it on the person's behalf, and knew the information to be incorrect or inaccurate at the time the record was signed.

Unsworn falsification.
The execution of a certificate or articles containing one or more false statements constitutes unsworn falsification under Title 17-A, section 453.
