§1433. Aliens
1.
Notification of immigration officer.
When a person is admitted or committed to a state, county, city or private institution which is supported wholly or in part by public funds, the chief administrative officer of the institution shall inquire at once into the nationality of the person and, if it appears that the person is an alien, the chief administrative officer shall notify immediately the United States immigration officer in charge of the district in which the institution is located, of:
A.
The date of and the reason for the alien's admission or commitment;

B.
The length of time for which the alien is admitted or committed;

C.
The country of which the alien is a citizen; and

D.
The date on which and the port at which the alien last entered the United States.

2.
Copy of record to immigration officer.
Upon the official request of the United States immigration officer in charge of the territory or district in which is located any court committing an alien to a state, county, city or private institution which is supported wholly or in part by public funds, the clerk of the court shall furnish without charge a certified copy of any record pertaining to the alien's case.
