§854. Restoration to service

If a recipient of a retirement allowance under this chapter again becomes a member of the Legislature, the recipient may:   [PL 2019, c. 475, §32 (AMD).]
1.  Receive allowance.  Continue to receive the retirement allowance and not accrue any additional creditable service for that legislative service; or  
[PL 1985, c. 507, §1 (NEW).]
2.  Discontinue allowance.  Direct, in writing, that the executive director discontinue the recipient's retirement allowance and the recipient accrues additional creditable service for that legislative service.
