| | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows: |

| | | Sec. 1. 8 MRSA §411, sub-§3, ¶D, as enacted by PL 1983, c. 732, §1, is | | amended to read: |
|
| | | D. Whether the place of business or activity is | | predominantly frequented by persons under the age of 18 | | years; and |
|
| | | Sec. 2. 8 MRSA §411, sub-§3, ¶E, as enacted by PL 1983, c. 732, §1, is | | repealed. |
|
| | | Sec. 3. 8 MRSA §412, sub-§1, ¶D, as enacted by PL 1983, c. 732, §1, is | | amended to read: |
|
| | | D. Engaging in fraud, deceit, misrepresentation or conduct | | prejudicial to public confidence; or |
|
| | | Sec. 4. 8 MRSA §412, sub-§1, ¶E, as enacted by PL 1983, c. 732, §1, is | | repealed. |
|
| | | Sec. 5. 8 MRSA §415, sub-§7 is enacted to read: |
|
| | | 7.__Revenue received from sales agents.__The commission may | | not collect from a sales agent revenue in excess of the amount | | collected by the agent from actual Tri-State Lotto ticket sales | | less the compensation due the sales agent for selling the | | tickets. |
|
| | | This bill eliminates the ability of the Tri-State Lotto | | Commission from charging sales agents the balance of the | | difference between actual sales and the quota set by the | | commission if the sales agents do not meet the quota. |
