Those sections of this Act that repeal the | | Maine Revised Statutes, Title 3, section 959, subsection 1, | | paragraph K, subparagraph (1); Title 5, section 12004-K, | | subsection 6; and Title 12, chapter 419 and that amends Title 12, | | section 6001, subsection 28 are effective 180 days from the date | | upon which the Governor files a notice of intent to withdraw the | | State from the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Compact. |

| | | Emergency clause. In view of the emergency cited in the preamble, | | this Act takes effect when approved. |

| | | This bill withdraws the State from participation in the | | Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Compact and the Atlantic States | | Marine Fisheries Commission. |
