This bill establishes the Scholarships for Law Enforcement Education Fund. The fund is established to provide financial assistance to college students and graduating high school seniors who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement. The Chief Executive Officer of the Finance Authority of Maine shall administer the fund. Financial assistance will be in the form of a loan with repayment established by rule of the authority.
