| | | Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §201, sub-§4, as enacted by PL 1993, c. 683, Pt. A, | | §2 and affected by Pt. B, §5, is amended to read: |

| | | 4. Training and equipment. The Secretary of State shall | | provide necessary training for municipal agents and any equipment | | that the State requires municipal agents to use in the course of | | their duties as registration agents. A municipal agent may not | | be appointed for specific duties unless the agent has | | successfully completed the appropriate training program. |

| | | This bill requires the State to supply any equipment that the | | State requires municipal agents to use in the performance of | | their duties as registration agents. |
