Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §12709, sub-§10, as amended by PL 1989, c. 443, §45, is further amended to read:

10. Intercampus cooperation and coordination. To promote cooperation among the technical colleges and prepare plans for approval by the board of trustees with respect to the coordination of programs, activities and personnel, including the establishment of a uniform system to facilitate the transfer of credits for equivalent courses between the various colleges of the system;

SUMMARY

This bill adds to the powers and duties of the President of the Maine Technical College System in promoting intercampus cooperation and coordination the establishment of a uniform system to facilitate credit transfers between colleges within the system.
