Sec. 1. Standards for heat in buildings. Resolved: That the Department of
Labor shall establish standards by rule that require employers to
maintain heat in buildings that are occupied by employees. In
developing these standards, the department may incorporate into
the standards the occupational guidelines of the department's
Work Place Health Division that apply to employees of State
Government. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine
technical rules as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title
5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve directs the Department of Labor to develop
standards that employers shall use in maintaining heat in
buildings that are occupied by employees.
