D. One member representing the Maine Health Care Association, | | to be appointed by the President of the Senate; |

| | | E. One member representing the Maine Hospital Association, | | to be appointed by the President of the Senate; |

| | | F. One member representing the State Board of Nursing, to | | be appointed by the Speaker of the House; |
|
| | | G. One member representing the Department of Education, to | | be appointed by the Speaker of the House; and |
|
| | | H. One member representing the Department of Mental Health, | | Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, to be | | appointed by the Speaker of the House. |

| | | 3. Commission meetings. The commission is authorized to | | conduct up to 5 meetings, the first of which must be called by | | the chair no later than November 1, 1999. |
|
| | | 4. Report to Legislature. The commission shall report its | | findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee of | | the Legislature having jurisdiction over health and human | | services matters on or before January 15, 2001. |

| | | Sec. 14. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from | | the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act. |
