1.__Committee.__The Advisory Committee on Dental Education,established pursuant to Title 5, section 12004-I, subsection 7-C, shall assist the chief executive officer in evaluating and improving the program.

2.__Members.__The Advisory Committee on Dental Education consists of:

A.__Seven voting members appointed by the chief executive officer and subject to approval by the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over education matters.__Of these members:

(1)__One must be a representative of a major statewide organization representing dentists;

(2)__One must be a representative of a major statewide coalition dedicated to issues concerning ambulatory care;

(3)__One must be a representative of a major statewide alliance dedicated to children's issues;

(4)__One must be a representative of a major statewide organization of consumers dedicated to the cause of affordable health care;

(5)__One must be a representative of a major statewide organization dedicated to ensuring equal justice;

(6)__One must be a representative of the Department of Human Services, Bureau of Health, Oral Health Program; and

(7)__One must be representative of the Department of Human Services, Bureau of Medical Services.

B.__Three voting members who are Legislators, one appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, one appointed by the President of the Senate and one appointed by the Governor; and

C.__Two nonvoting members appointed by the chief executive officer and subject to approval by the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over education matters.__These members must include:
