3.__Animal food manufacturer.__"Animal food manufacturer"
means a person engaged in the business of manufacturing or
processing animal food derived wholly or in part from the
carcasses or parts or products of the carcasses of animals.

 
4.__Approved establishment.__"Approved establishment" means a
place where meat or meat food products are prepared that is in
compliance with rules of the department on sanitation and
operation.

 
5.__Color additive.__"Color additive" has the same meaning as
under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

 
6.__Commissioner.__"Commissioner" means the Commissioner of
Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources or the commissioner's
designee.

 
7.__Department.__"Department" means the Department of
Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources.

 
8.__Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.__"Federal Food, Drug
and Cosmetic Act" means 21 United States Code, Section 301,
approved June 25, 1938.

 
9.__Federal Meat Inspection Act.__"Federal Meat Inspection
Act" means 21 United States Code, Section 601, approved March 4,
1907, as amended by the Wholesome Meat Act.

 
10.__Firm.__"Firm" means a partnership, association or other
unincorporated business organization.

 
11.__Fit for human food.__"Fit for human food" applied to a
carcass or part or product of a carcass of an animal means not
denatured; not otherwise identified, as required by rules adopted
by the commissioner, to deter its use as human food; or not
naturally inedible by humans.

 
12.__Food additive.__"Food additive" has the same meaning as
under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

 
13.__Intrastate commerce.__"Intrastate commerce" means
commerce within this State.

 
14.__Label.__"Label" means a display of written, printed or
graphic matter upon the immediate container, not including the
package liner, of an article.

 
15.__Labeling.__"Labeling" means all labels and other written,
printed or graphic matter on an article or on its container or
wrapper.
