19.__Official certificate.__"Official certificate" means a certificate established by rule of the commissioner for issuance by an inspector or other person performing official functions under this chapter.

20.__Official device.__"Official device" means a device authorized by the commissioner for use in applying an official mark.

21.__Official inspection legend.__"Official inspection legend" means a symbol established by rule of the commissioner showing that an article was inspected and passed in accordance with this chapter.

22.__Official mark.__"Official mark" means the official inspection legend or any other symbol established by rule of the commissioner to identify the status of an article or animal under this chapter.

23.__Person.__"Person" means an individual, firm or corporation.

24.__Pesticide chemical.__"Pesticide chemical" has the same meaning as under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

25.__Prepared.__"Prepared" means slaughtered, canned, salted, rendered, boned, cut up or otherwise manufactured or processed.

26.__Raw agricultural commodity.__"Raw agricultural commodity" has the same meaning as under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

27.__Renderer.__"Renderer" means a person engaged in the business of rendering carcasses of animals, but "renderer" does not mean a person who renders carcasses of animals only for purposes of inspection conducted under this chapter.

28.__Slaughter.__"Slaughter" means the butchering of animals for human consumption.

§2512.__Examination and inspection

To prevent the use in intrastate commerce of meat and meat food products that are adulterated, the commissioner shall, by
