| | | 47.__Wholesale distributor.__"Wholesale distributor" means a | | person who sells meat to retail vendors, other merchants or to | | industrial, institutional and commercial users mainly for resale | | or business use. |

| | | §2512.__Powers and duties of the commissioner |

| | | The commissioner shall implement a meat and poultry products | | inspection and licensing program that imposes and enforces | | requirements with respect to intrastate operations and commerce | | that are at least as stringent as those imposed and enforced | | under the federal acts with respect to operations and | | transactions in interstate commerce.__The Department of | | Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources is designated as the state | | agency to administer this chapter and to cooperate with the | | Secretary of Agriculture of the United States in developing and | | administering the state meat inspection program. |
