Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from
the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Provides funds for grants to
teachers seeking certification
by the National Board for
Professional Teaching
Standards. Individual grants
may not exceed $2,000 per
teacher.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill includes General Fund appropriations of $50,000 in
each year of the biennium to provide grants of $2,000 each to
teachers seeking certification by the National Board for
Professional Teaching Standards.
