An Act to Require Alien Big Game Hunters to be Accompanied by a Guide

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7406, sub-§2-A
is enacted to read:
2-A.__Hunting big game without a guide.
__An alien is guilty of
hunting big game without a guide if that person hunts big game
without being accompanied on the hunt by a person who holds a
valid guide license pursuant to section 7311 authorizing that
person to act as a hunting guide.
SUMMARY
This bill would make it illegal for an alien to hunt big game
without being accompanied by a licensed guide.
