This bill provides funds to Literacy Volunteers of America in Maine in order to provide equity of access to services to residents of the State with the lowest literacy levels. Funds must be used to establish programs in underserved areas and to increase the capacity of existing programs by expanding technical assistance and program services to local volunteer literacy organizations.
