Resolved: That legislative members are | entitled to receive the legislative per diem and reimbursement of | necessary expenses for attendance at authorized meetings of the | committee. Public members not otherwise compensated by their | employers or other entities whom they represent are entitled to | receive reimbursement of necessary expenses and a per diem equal | to the legislative per diem for their attendance at authorized | meetings of the committee; and be it further |

| | Sec. 7. Report. Resolved: That the committee shall submit a report | on the issues studied along with any recommended legislation to | the Legislature no later than November 1, 2001. If the committee | requires an extension of time to make its report, it may apply to | the Legislative Council, which may grant the extension; and be it | further |

| | Sec. 8. Committee budget. That the chairs of the committee, with | assistance from the committee staff, shall administer the | committee's budget. Within 10 days after its first meeting, the | committee shall present a work plan and proposed budget to the | Legislative Council for its approval. The committee may not | incur expenses that would result in the committee's exceeding its | approved budget. Upon request from the committee, the Executive | Director of the Legislative Council or the executive director's | designee shall provide the committee chairs and staff with a | status report on the committee's budget, expenditures incurred | and paid and available funds. |

| | Emergency clause. In view of the emergency cited in the preamble, | this resolve takes effect when approved. |

| | This resolve establishes the Committee to Study the | Feasibility of Establishing a Recreational Saltwater Fishing | License. As part of its study, the committee shall hold at least | 2 public hearings to seek public input. The report deadline for | the committee is November 1, 2001. The committee is authorized | to submit legislation to the Second Regular Session of the 120th | Legislature. |
