| | Sec. 2. Commission membership. Resolved: That the commission consists | of the following members: |

| | 1. Three Senators, one of whom is a member of the Joint | Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs, one of whom | is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Banking and | Insurance and one of whom is a member of the Joint Standing | Committee on Labor, appointed by the President of the Senate; |
|
| | 2. Six members of the House of Representatives, 2 of whom are | members of the Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural | Affairs, 2 of whom are members of the Joint Standing Committee on | Banking and Insurance and 2 of whom are members of the Joint | Standing Committee on Labor, appointed by the Speaker of the | House; |

| | 3. The Chancellor of the University of Maine System or the | chancellor's designee; and |
|
| | 4. A representative of each union that represents University | of Maine System employees, appointed by each representative's | respective union; and be it further |
|
| | Sec. 3. Chairs. Resolved: That the first named Senate member is the | Senate chair of the commission and the first named House of | Representatives member is the House chair of the commission; and | be it further |
|
| | Sec. 4. Appointments; meetings. Resolved: That all appointments must be | made no later than 30 days following the effective date of this | resolve. The Executive Director of the Legislative Council must | be notified by all appointing authorities once the selections | have been made. When the appointment of all members has been | completed, the chairs of the commission shall call and convene | the first meeting of the commission no later than 30 days after | the appointment of members; and be it further |

| | Sec. 5. Duties. Resolved: That the commission shall study the health | insurance benefits provided to University of Maine System | employees. In conducting the study, the commission shall examine | providing health insurance benefits to University of Maine System | employees under the same group health plan that is available to | state employees; and be it further |
