Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §7917 is enacted to read:

§7917.__Governing board of facility

The majority of the members on the governing board of an assisted living services program that receives proceeds from bonds issued by the Maine Health and Higher Education Facilities Authority must be residents or family members of residents in the program.

SUMMARY

This bill requires that the majority of the members of the governing board of an assisted living facility receiving bonds from the Maine Health and Higher Education Facilities Authority be residents or family members of residents in the program.
