| | | §15331. Membership; appointment; vacancies; removal; |

| | | The Board of Denturists, established by Title 5, section | | 12004-A, subsection 10-A, and referred to in this chapter as | | "the board," consists of 3 members who are denturists, | | appointed by the Governor. |
|
| | | 1.__Membership. A person is not eligible for appointment to | | the board who has been convicted of a violation of the | | provisions of this chapter or any other prior denturism | | practice laws, or who has been convicted of a crime punishable | | by more than one year's imprisonment.__A person is not | | eligible for appointment to the board who has served 10 years | | or more on a dental examining board in this State.__ | | Appointment of members must comply with section 60.__The | | Governor may remove a member of the board on proven charges of | | inefficiency, incompetence, immorality or unprofessional | | conduct. |

| | | 2.__Members.__A member must be a qualified denturist | | pursuant to subchapter 2, must be a legal resident of the | | State and, for appointments made after January 1, 2006, must | | have practiced in the State for at least 6 years immediately | | preceding appointment.__The term of a member is 5 years. |

| | | 3.__Compensation. The members of the board are entitled to | | compensation according to the provisions of Title 5, chapter | | 379.__Expenses of the board members must be certified by the | | secretary-treasurer of the board. |

| | | At its annual meeting, the board shall elect from among its | | members a president, a vice-president and a secretary- | | treasurer.__Two members constitute a quorum.__The board may | | have a common seal.__At a time and place to be fixed by the | | board, the board shall hold at least one regular meeting each | | year and special meetings as necessary.__The board may | | recognize nationally or regionally administered examinations | | given at least annually for applicants to practice denturism | | in the State.__The board may make rules, not contrary to law, | | necessary for the performance of |
