Sec. 1. 21-A MRSA §1125, sub-§5-A is enacted to read:

5-A.__Mandatory disqualification.__The commission shall disqualify a candidate from eligibility under the Maine Clean Election Act if that candidate establishes candidacy for more than one elective office.

SUMMARY

This bill prohibits a candidate from being a Maine Clean Election Act candidate if that candidate is running for more than one office.
