§15357.__Examinations for certifications

The board shall establish and administer, or contract out to a recognized 3rd-party certifier for, examinations as required for certification under this chapter and determine satisfactory performance for these examinations.

§15358.__Revoking or suspending certifications

In accordance with the Maine Administrative Procedure Act, the board may revoke or suspend a certification or reprimand a certification holder for any violation of this chapter or rules of the board.__Grounds for suspension or revocation of a certification due to suspected incompetence or willful violation by a certification holder may be determined through retesting procedures.

§15359.__Reinstating certifications

The board shall establish a procedure for reinstating any certification that has been revoked or suspended.__Any person whose certification has been revoked may not apply for reinstatement of that certification before the expiration of one year from the date of such revocation.__If the board proposes to refuse a person's application for licensure or to suspend or revoke a person's certification, the person is entitled to notice and a hearing before the board.

§15360.__General certification requirements

The board shall issue a certification to any person who:

1.__Qualifications.__Meets the qualifications and requirements for a specific certification under this chapter;

2.__Application.__Completes and affirms before a notary public an application for examination and certification established by the board;

3.__Evidence of qualifications.__Presents competent evidence, in a form acceptable to the board, demonstrating that the applicant meets the qualifications and requirements of the certification for which the applicant has applied;
