(a)__A health care professional; |
|
| (b)__A representative of a Maine-based | manufacturing business with 25 or more employees; | and |
|
| (c)__A representative of an economic development | organization; and |
|
| (6)__Three members of the public appointed by the | Speaker of the House as follows: |
|
| (a)__A person who is active in the organized labor | community; |
|
| (b)__A member of a nonprofit human rights | organization; and |
|
| (c)__A member of a nonprofit environmental | organization. |
|
| In making appointments of members of the public, the | appointing authorities shall make every effort to appoint | representatives of generally recognized and organized | constituencies of the interest groups mentioned in | subparagraphs (4), (5) and (6); and |
|
| B.__The following 5 commissioners or the commissioners' | designees of the following 5 departments who serve as ex | officio, nonvoting members: |
|
| (1)__Department of Labor; |
|
| (2)__Department of Economic and Community Development; |
|
| (3)__Department of Environmental Protection; |
|
| (4)__Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural | Resources; and |
|
| (5)__Department of Human Services. |

| | 5.__Terms; vacancies; limits.__Except for Legislators, | commissioners and the Attorney General, who serve terms | coincident with their elective or appointed terms, all members | are appointed for 3-year terms.__A vacancy must be filled by the | same appointing authority that made the original appointment.__ | Appointed members may not serve more than 2 terms.__Members may |
