Notwithstanding subsection (e), there may be an exception for
the enforcement of family support orders. Some States have
unique statutory procedures for the enforcement of support
orders. In Florida, for example, a court may issue an "income
deduction order" requiring any person or entity providing
"income" to the obligor of a support order to remit to the
obligee or a depository, as directed by the court, a specified
portion of the income. Fla. Stat. § 61.1301 (1993). "Income" is
broadly defined to include any form of payment to the obligor,
including wages, salary, compensation as an independent
contractor, dividends, interest, or other payment, regardless of
source. Fla. Stat. § 61.046(4) (1993). That definition includes
distributions payable to an obligor partner. A charging order
under RUPA would still be necessary to reach the obligor's entire
partnership interest, however.
