Sec. M-1. 30-A MRSA §4852, sub-§1, as amended by PL 1989, c. 104, Pt. C, §§8 and 10, is further amended to read:
1. Operator of program. Upon a General Fund appropriation of money for the Housing Opportunities for Maine Fund created by section 4853, subsection 1, the The Maine State Housing Authority shall operate the Housing Opportunities for Maine Program. This program may be operated in conjunction with or as part of one or more other programs of the Maine State Housing Authority.
Sec. M-2. Maine State Housing Authority; rename program. The "Housing Opportunities for Maine Fund," a General Fund program in the Maine State Housing Authority, is renamed "Shelter Operating Subsidy."
Sec. M-3. Additional shelter operating subsidy funding, 2000-2001 biennium only. Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 30-A, chapter 201, subchapter VII, the Maine State Housing Authority shall transfer $600,000 in fiscal year 1999-00 and $600,000 in fiscal year 2000-01 from the Housing Opportunities for Maine Fund to the Shelter Operating Subsidy program.
