An Act to Provide Funding for the Education Research Institute
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Deappropriates funds to partially offset appropriations provided for the Education Research Institute.

Provides funds to maintain the kindergarten to grade 12 education database in the amount of $75,000 each year and funds to support targeted research projects in the amount of $75,000 each year, for a total appropriation of $150,000 for each year. The Legislature shall contract with the University of Maine System to continue these activities. These funds may not be used for travel.
