Sec. II-1. Fund for a Healthy Maine oral health initiatives. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, $240,000 of the Fund for a Healthy Maine fiscal year 2001-02 allocation for oral health initiatives within the Department of Human Services must be used to provide one-time grants to community oral health programs to further the objectives of the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 22, chapter 416-A.
Sec. II-2. Fund for a Healthy Maine oral health initiatives. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, beginning in fiscal year 2002-03, $600,000 of the Fund for a Healthy Maine allocation for oral health initiatives within the Department of Human Services must be used to further the objectives of the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 22, chapter 416-A. To assist in this effort, the Department of Human Services shall seek to maximize federal reimbursement for oral health services.
Sec. II-3. Dental reimbursement rates. Beginning July 1, 2002, the Department of Human Services shall increase dental reimbursement rates under the Medicaid program consistent with the funding provided in this Part. The rate increase may be incentive-based and must be provided in a manner that will increase access to and utilization of dental services.
Sec. II-4. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.
