D.__One member from either the Finance Authority of Maine or
the Maine Education Assistance Board;

 
E.__One member from either the Department of Education or
the State Board of Education;

 
F.__Five members representing interested parents and
community members from different regions of the State;

 
G.__Two members from community economic development
organizations;

 
H.__One member from the Maine School of Science and
Mathematics;

 
I.__One member from the University of Maine System;

 
J.__One member from a Maine private college;

 
K.__One member from the Maine Technical College System;

 
L.__One member from the joint standing committee of the
Legislature having jurisdiction over education matters;

 
M.__One member from the Maine Development Foundation;

 
N.__One member from an association representing alternative
education programs;

 
O.__One member from an association representing learning
disabled persons;

 
P.__One member from an association representing day-care
providers; and

 
Q.__Other nonvoting members, the number to be determined by
the authority, representing charter school administrators
and boards of directors, students attending charter schools
and their parents.

 
2.__Appointment; terms.__Voting members of the authority are
appointed by the Governor and are subject to review by the joint
standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over
education matters and confirmation by the Legislature.__Members
serve for a term of 3 years.__Nonvoting members are appointed by
the authority for a term determined by the authority.

 
3.__Reimbursement.__Members of the authority are entitled to
receive reimbursement for necessary expenses for each day's
attendance at meetings of the authority as provided in Title 5,
chapter 379.
