| G.__Two members from community economic development | organizations; |
|
| H.__One member from the Maine School of Science and | Mathematics; |

| I.__One member from the University of Maine System; |
|
| J.__One member from a Maine private college; |
|
| K.__One member from the Maine Technical College System; |
|
| L.__One member from the joint standing committee of the | Legislature having jurisdiction over education matters; |

| M.__One member from the Maine Development Foundation; |
|
| N.__One member from an association representing alternative | education programs; |
|
| O.__One member from an association representing learning | disabled persons; |
|
| P.__One member from an association representing day-care | providers; and |
|
| Q.__Other nonvoting members, the number to be determined by | the authority, representing charter school administrators | and boards of directors, students attending charter schools | and their parents. |

| | 2.__Appointment; terms.__Voting members of the authority are | appointed by the Governor and are subject to review by the joint | standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over | education matters and confirmation by the Legislature.__Members | serve for a term of 3 years.__Nonvoting members are appointed by | the authority for a term determined by the authority. |

| | 3.__Reimbursement.__Members of the authority are entitled to | receive reimbursement for necessary expenses for each day's | attendance at meetings of the authority as provided in Title 5, | chapter 379. |
