What is Maine's Law on Home Construction/Repair Contracts
10 MRS §§1486-1490 addresses home construction contracts. Chapter 17 of the Maine Attorney General’s Consumer Law Guide covers written contracts, change orders, warranty clauses, mechanic's liens, and suing your contractor. This chapter also includes information on which municipalities are required to enforce the Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code - 10 MRS §§9721-9725.
