Mechanic's Liens
What is Maine's Law on Mechanic's Liens
A mechanic’s lien is “a statutory lien that secures payment for labor or materials supplied in improving, repairing, or maintaining real or personal property, such as a building, an automobile, or the like.” (Black's Law Dictionary, 12th ed., 2024). Although Maine statutes don’t appear to use this term, related laws can be found in 10 MRS §§3251-3269.
