What is Maine's Law on Intestate Succession
The People’s Law Dictionary defines “intestate” as, “Referring to a situation where a person dies without leaving a valid will. This usually is voiced as ‘he died intestate,’ ‘intestate estate,’ or ‘intestate succession’” (see pg. 221).
Maine statutes addressing intestacy can be found in 18-C MRS, Article 2.
